My services are designed for those who wish to secure a higher level of privacy protection for their confidential medical records. In today’s climate of increased risk for personal electronic data privacy breaches, you can feel assured that my office does not maintain electronic medical records. My training, experience, and expertise allows me to treat you, your children, and your family with the highest quality of professional therapy services by addressing your presenting concerns and symptoms without assigning a mental health diagnosis. In order to pay claims for therapy services, insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis, therefore I am not part of insurance panels.
Contents of all therapy sessions are completely confidential. Any sharing of written and verbal communication requires a signed release. Exceptions entail a therapist’s legal duty to report suspected child and elder abuse/neglect, as well as imminent risk of harm to self or others. Please review HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act) for other exceptions (such as court subpoenas, litigation, workers compensation, and disability claims) and further description of clients rights and therapists duties.
