A Monthly Column

Dr. Lapin has published a monthly column in the Parklander Magazine for the past thirteen years. “Ask Dr. Renae” is an advice column for teens with advice from real teenagers. The teen peer counseling writers are volunteers and the column is offered as a community service.

If you are a teen with a question or problem for which you would like advice from peers, write to “Ask Dr. Renae” for a confidential response to your question printed in the Parklander Magazine. No names or identifying information will be published. Please provide your age, grade and gender identification. All inquiries should be directed to: [email protected]. Make sure to include “Ask Dr. Renae” in the subject line.

Are you a teenager interested in helping others? Do your friends always come to you for advice? Do you like to write? I am currently recruiting volunteer peer counseling writers to help provide advice to their peers. High school students attending public school, private school, religious school, charter school, home school, and virtual schools are all welcome to apply. Your advice will be published anonymously, but you can tell your friends that it is yours! Teacher recommendation and parent permission required. Interested? Write to Ask Dr. Renae for an application at [email protected].
